BEN TODD - Academy Instructor
BEN TODD Academy Instructor
Ben originates from Bath, in the South West of England, where he started
playing golf at the age of 8 at Saltford Golf Club where he represented the junior
and first teams.
A keen sportsman with an active interest in a wide variety of sports, Ben's commitment
to golf and improving his game continued during his time at Swansea University,
where he studied Sports Science and developed an interest in biomechanics.
Ben started his PGA training while at Greenore Golf Club in Ireland. It was at Greenore
that he started to use his knowledge and interest in sports science and biomechanics
to enhance his coaching and understanding of the golf swing. When he returned to
England he became the sole teaching professional at Meyrick Park Golf Club in Bournemouth,
where he introduced his own coaching programme with great success, helping members,
visitors and beginners improve their golf and enjoy the game.
A certified TPI level one instructor, Ben continues to develop his coaching technique
through researching various teaching methods and by spending time with highly experienced
and acclaimed coaches, such as Jonathan Yarwood and John Jacobs.
Ben advocates that all golfers are different and so his goal as a coach is to identify
the requirements of the individual and their learning style to create a holistic
programme that improves their game.
